Which means fast food joints and processed food manufacturers near and far have rolled out all kinds of green colored sugar bombs (heyyyy there Shamrock Shake...we see you). Even though we know these treats aren't good for us, it can still be tempting at times to give in and indulge - those ads are made to look pretty enticing.

Our version of a Shamrock Shake is creamy, minty, and sweet, yet each sip is like diving into a pot of superfood gold (see what we did there?) thanks to a few key, nutrient-rich and highly functional, whole food ingredients.
Our main superfood secret is an infusion of clean CBD Co2 hemp extract. The high-grade, whole hemp extract that we use in our Veggimins Extracts and CBD Chocolate Bars has neuroprotectant properties that help bring the body into balance where there is imbalance. In other words, it is a potent adaptogen. Studies have also shown hemp CBD to be helpful in reducing anxiety and tension within the body and mind.
Spirulina, a form of blue green freshwater micro-algae, is a rich source of plant based protein (60-70% protein by weight), gamma-linolenic acid (a fatty acid that reduces inflammation), as well as critical nutrients like iron, calcium, B Vitamins, and beta carotene.
Coconut meat is a good source of lauric and caprylic acids, which are known for their anti-viral and antibacterial properties. The accompanying coconut water infuses this recipe with natural electrolytes. Together they help replenish the body and give the skin a soft, hydrated glow.

You'll definitely be feeling like a lucky little leprechaun after a few sips of this shake! (everyone's goal this St. Paddy's Day right?) So let's get to it...
Makes roughly 2, 12 oz servings
Lucky Shamrock Hemp CBD Mint Chip Superfood Shake
1/2 cup young Thai coconut meat, packed
1 cup frozen cauliflower florets (steamed and then frozen)
1 small handful baby spinach
1 serving (30 drops) Veggimins Hemp CBD Extract - 600 mg strength**
1/2 tsp spirulina (optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp pure peppermint extract (or 2-3 drops peppermint essential oil)
1 cup ice cubes
1. Blend all ingredients except CBD Chocolate Bar in a blender until smooth.
2. Once blended, break CBD Chocolate Bars into two pieces, toss half into your blender carafe, and pulse a few more times to create chocolate "chips". Use the other half crushed up as a garnish.
3. Pour into 2 glasses (or one big glass) and feel the magic!
*The amount of coconut water in this recipe will vary depending on the texture of your coconut meat. Ours was very soft and jelly-like, so we used about 1 cup coconut water. If your coconut meat is more dense (lke a mature coconut) you may need a spash more coconut water.
**This extract has a total of 20 mg CBD/serving, giving this recipe 10 mg of hemp CBD per serving + what is in the chocolate bar (depending on which chocolate you use).
